Ever wondered how you can harness the power of the sun into a beautiful work of art?
Join celebrated artist Renata Buziak for a concentrated introduction to the process of creating an original cyanotype. Discover one of the oldest and most enduring photographic techniques in a fun and fully immersive workshop that will show you how to use flowers, leaves and found objects to create striking and original compositions.
Commencing with a tour of Sonja and Elisa Jane Carmichael’s stunning cyanotype Balgagu gara (come celebrate) in our exhibition carriers of memory, this half-day workshop will take you through the history, materials and practical skills required to make an original piece of art before you dive into making your own striking work to take home.
Workshop includes:
- Exclusive access to renowned Australian artist Renata Buziak
- All materials required
- Tour of carriers of memory
- Tea and coffee
- Participants are also welcome to bring small flat objects or photo negatives from home to experiment with on the day of the workshop.
Please note, lunch is not included. Participants are encouraged to bring a packed lunch.
