Ponds at the Far Pavilions is a biochrome artwork, printed on Chiffon Deluxe, that I created with native wildflowers from the Granite Belt region of Queensland. This piece was developed on a bushland property where The Piano Mill hosts annual gatherings of experimental music and art — a place of creative exchange, sound, and story.

flowers featuring in this artwork include: Native candytuft, Wild parsnip, (Trachymene incisa subsp. incisa). I found this delicate and intricate herb at the Far Pavilions on the northern end of the property, in a beautiful open meadow that has a stream running alongside huge boulders.

Created through my signature biochrome process, which fuses photographic materials with organic matter over time, this artwork reflects the cycles of decay, renewal, and belonging.
Part of an ongoing art and science practice, This artwork is both a celebration of Australian flora and a meditation on connection — with place, with others, and with nature’s ever-changing rhythms.
This work features in a touring exhibition Wildflowering by Design, currently at Redlands Art Gallery in Cleveland, Qld. Recently the exhibition was at Gympie Art Gallery (pictured).
