Engineering, Technology and Aviation Academic Building N79

Griffith University, Nathan Campus, Brisbane QLD / 2022

A series of large-scale artworks created for application to interior glass panels at Griffith University’s Engineering, Technology and Aviation Building (N79). Featuring biochrome imagery of Melaleuca quinquenervia and Centella asiatica — native Australian healing plants central to my PhD research — these works reflect the university’s surrounding bushland and its commitment to research, sustainability, and well-being.

Undertaken during my doctoral studies at the Queensland College of Art, this project draws on my ongoing fusion of art and science. The imagery, developed through my signature biochrome process, captures the life cycles of plant matter in transformation — decay, renewal, and quiet regeneration — while inviting a contemplative visual experience within the academic environment.

The artworks offer a moment of pause and connection with place, honouring the resilience of flora and the dynamic relationship between humans and the natural world.

If you’re interested in working together on a new project, I welcome commission enquiries and creative collaborations.
