This biochrome image I created during a collaborative project ‘Habitat: A collection of artworks and stories of Pine Rivers Gardens’, focusing on residential gardens and gardeners of Moreton Bay in Queensland. It contains flora from several gardens in the area.

Gardens play a very important part in many people’s lives. A garden can stimulate peace and tranquillity; provide fruit and vegetables seasonally; be a place for family gatherings; foster fitness and recreational activity; encourage a connection to nature, whilst prompting a sense of pride and achievement in the owner. Residential gardens are also an essential resource for flora and fauna habitats, assisting in the maintenance of biodiversity within the region.
