EXP. 22 – III International Festival on Experimental Photography offers a full program of over 130 activities in five days!

I have the opportunity to present my new work in progress: Rainforest Biochromes at the Festival.

Currently I am undertaking a residency at Binna Burra, a unique destination in the Scenic Rim of Gold Coast Hinterland in Queensland, Australia, amongst the Heritage Listed Lamington National Park. 

I feel privileged to be able to work with rainforest plants, and especially a selection of Gondwana lineage plants, to create new biochrome images with. 

In this panel discussion at the Festival we will look at three challenges that allow us to think about the future of experimental photography: 

1. how to combine techniques to create new ones
2. find the message and the narrative of our processes
3. work collectively

The program consists of workshops, exhibitions and CONFERENCES on experimental photography by artists and presenters from around the world. All presentations will be recorded and made available to online participants after the Festival.

CONFERENCES include presentations, lectures and panel discussions mainly in Spanish and English. 

The Festival also offers workshops by local and international facilitators, and five curated exhibitions. 

I’m thrilled that some of my work from the Polish Meadows series were selected for the exhibition /ˈärˌkīv/ anth(r)opogeny in contemporary photography.
